How bad is it that I am reluctant to go to the doctor because I'm worried that they'll find something that will make me stay at my job for insurance?

Not like anything major, but something more chronic like cholesterol, pre-diabetes (or diabetes), or something like that. I'm already in a situation where I need to use my dental benefits to get my mouth fixed and I'm still paying a bunch out of pocket which is increasing the time it's taking to finish paying off my credit cards. The benefits are probably the best thing about this job.
