Saw Moneyball the other night. Meh. C+.

having read the book, it was glaring what in hindsight worked and what doesn't.

Mostly my issue with the movie was it was clearly fictional in so many ways (Billy Beane was not getting fired -- the family aspect with his daughter was not a part of the book)...

But becuase they lost Izzy, Giambi and Damon, but still had Hudson/Zito/Mulder (shockingly those 3 were mentioned 1 time?) we're supposed to think they'll go from playoffs to garbage; like a 30 game swing...just ain't happening.

For those of us who can remember 10 years ago, it's not that tough to see what the movie glossed over to try to be more cinematic.

As it was, just meh. And the lack of draft talk (which probably is best given Billy missed on many of his draft thoughts)....meh.
