term is, apparently. he sent me to stanford's pain clinic, where they told me they wouldn't be concerned about me if I was taking twice as much as my max (which wasn't a regular thing, anyway).

I only took (and still do) pain med. when things are quite bad, never go straight to the harder stuff, never have escalated to more/harder for any prolonged period, and stop taking harder immediately when it's either not needed or not giving extra benefit.

no one is worried, except I still hear that original guy's words in my head; and it makes me take less than I should, grr. ;p
