Okay, I'll admit that I didn't apbench SlackerTalk - but it's a hobby site. That sort of flying-by-the-seat-of-your-pants can be tolerated as a hobby.
For example, you really don't want a commercial airline pilot to stick his finger out the cockpit window to gauge wind speed/direction ...
