I've had that happen with an internet order. You feel so helpless about doing something about it.

What I ended up doing was searching the company on google and getting the CEO's, legal department's, and publicity department's email addys. I sent a firm but polite email to all three. Two days later I got a call from the head of customer service, very apologetic, asking me what they could do to keep me as a customer. I said, "I just want my stuff, but I probably would never order from them again because they were not trustworthy." She ended up overnighting the order, at no charge, not charging me for the order, and giving me a coupon code for 50% off my next order. My only regret was that I had only ordered a sweater :).
I still do business with them because of their response, but I am still resentful of the fact that I had to smack it up as high as I did.
