being young but with 'gravitas' doesn't help when things are going squirrely for whatever reason.
"I killed Osama." works to a small degree...but this election clearly isn't about foreign policy. Even if the economy was good, the GOP would do it's damnedest not to be about foreign policy.
Obama likely wins; but it's becuase the GOP is running a redux of the 2004 Democrats; not because Obama's going to 'earn' it.
