STIS: this old house...our heater (10yo) keeps cutting out, the igniter coil glow, harRUMP the jets flame/cuts out, does it 3x and gives up for 1 hour

now I know there is a safety valve that makes it cut out.

It does NOT do this when the temps are really cold, it flames up just nice in the morning when the program goes from 60' to 70' (F) and at night etc.

but in the mornings, it just drives us nuts starting, stopping clicking, fanning, flaming, cutting. and of course my mom being 80 is temp sensitive.

we've had the factory authorized local repair guy out twice now, first time he replaced the main control box, when that didn't work he replaced some valve which did work for a week or two.

all I can think of is that there is some moisture in a vent tube for the safty sensor? (don't really know the workings here)

we've already spent 650 on repairs, mom is thinking of replacing the whole thing which would be up to $3,000.

once it gets going, the heater is fine, so the main furance is still going strong,

the worst part is the guy isn't returning our calls
