In response to "oh yeah -- nm" by prayformojo

so I use loop buses to get here, right? and the white loop (I'm a bus racist) starts running at 7:30. I know that if I leave my house at 7:25, I can

hop the first white loop, get to campus, and sync up with a red link ("there is no red and white. only shades of pink" (do you know what movie that's from?)) at 7:40 and get to work by 8:00. it's brilliant; the 30 second bus transfer.

so today I leave my house as usual and I walk to the loop stop and no loop. no loop, guys! I check the app, and it's like, there's one loop bus running; it's stopped randomly on beaver avenue.

so whatever; it's late. finally it shows up at 7:38 and it drives right by us. everyone at the bus stop starts freaking out and calling up the app to be like, yo, when is there another bus? and the app is like, chill, we just put two more buses online. so we chill.

and then those two buses go *right past us* as well.

we finally get picked up at 7:50, which gives me four minutes to get to campus and sync up with the red link, which is an impossible proposition usually, but thank god the red link is a little late.

so I'm like, as long as I can get off the loop at the *first stop* on campus, I should be able to sync up with the link. no issues. but the loop is so crowded that when we get to my stop, I am lit-ruh-lee stepping over people to get out and I see the red link across the street, picking up belinda, and I'm like, oh shit. I'm going to miss two freaking red links today.

I finally get off the bus and the red link is moving away from the stop and I"m like, no way am I waiting 20 minutes for another link so I (again, lit-ruh-lee) threw myself in front of it to make it stop for me.

my commute is not normally so eventful. or dangerous.
