havens, I don't agree with the "who on TT still plays the game" thought about us not having good imput. even more so that it could have been a reason

not to keep the boards (or at least one of them) as is.
sometimes you have a loss leader to get people in the door. at the very worst, that's what TT was. I may have stopped playing the game regularly after the first 4 years, but TT kept me around. every month or so I would open up the port and play the game. without TT, I would have left years ago and never been back. why close the door on something that brings people in?
sure they would love everyone to be playing every day, but that doesn't mean that they should shoo away anyone who plays less often.
I'm guessing they made money off page hits in some way (if I'm right, I made them more money by bing on TT than anytime while playing). even if they only made money by me playing the game, TT still kept me around to play it every now and again.
and yes, I still think that by asking us what would make them play more often would be valuable because they know they had us hooked once, and could have done it again.
