Yeah, sounds great, but can they keep shooting it? Having to set up concerts, studio session etc if everybody knows you're b.s.ing won't be easy.

This is just one way in which the endeavor differs (and seems a lot harder) than Borat. Another is that most Americans still have no idea who Sacha Baron Cohen is or what he looks like, and he's operating under aliases. Joaquin is being Joaquin; this story will get around, and people will just stop going along with it, at least in the interesting, fish-heads way they go along with Borat.
