One fascinating tidbit from Football Book (Patriots fans take note)...

The Bengals traded up with the Patriots to draft Jermaine Gresham, the consensus number one TE in the draft. The Patriots had him ranked third at the position behind Gronk and Aaron Hernandez. Not only did they acquire draft picks in trading down twice from #22 but they used one of the extra ones they received to take Hernandez in the fourth. New England believed Gronk was a top 15 player whose draft value was incorrect due to an injury in his final college season. Time has proven them right and the way they manipulated the draft board paid dividends with them getting Hernandez for free.
