I still think that the CA Supreme Court had the correct judgment (again not correct as in I agree but correct as in lawful) and I have a feeling that the judgment will be reversed either en banc or at SCOTUS.
The argument is you can't take away a right given, correct? The proposition was at the next election after the law was passed (or maybe the law passed before the proposition could take effect?). Either way it was done at the very next possible opportunity and I don't see that you can argue you can't reverse a law (especially given CA's vast proposition system) once it's passed, even at the very next given opportunity.
