Wouldn't you rather have that money only available for food or housing. To make sure?
My beef has never been with the Mom buying a slurpee at 7-11. It's that the money isn't going for something more important. Meat, eggs, cheese, etc.
If they get too much money, then the extra should go to a family that just is over the income limit of getting help.
We only have so much money to help the poor. Wasting it doesn't help as many as it can.
We are trillions in debt and we need to be more efficient in every aspect of government life.
Military wastes money. I have seen it first hand.
Medicare is a joke with the billions of dollars in fraud. It's simply just easier to let the crooks get away with it.
Corporate tax fraud is a big issue. Get rid of all the damn loop holes.
Our Country is broke! We need to fix everything before we have nothing. Then there won't be a penny to give to any poor unless China approves it.
