that year, I used-up all but a couple of weeks or so of what I'd accrued to up my income at first.
the way things are done here, you get more time off added every so often based on how many years you've been with the company. this is the second or third reduction in the cap that's happened since I've been here - it sucks for those of us who've been around for a longish time (this is relative, as I have coworkers who've been with the co. longer than I've been alive) and who don't have backup, etc., and thus can't take full advantage of vacation time.
they say they want to encourage people to take time off, but we know it's better for the company financially to cap. and to not have so many extra hours sitting out there until someone retires or leaves.
boo.
(I have perspective - I know how fortunate I am to have this to complain about, reallyreally.)
