I know that, (was there too) the seattle one will fall on its own, or the next quake, the point is, when the San Fran viaduct came down, the sun came

out and it had the same effect on the economy in those areas as opening the doors and windows of a house after a long cold winter.
the same conditions exist under the seattle viaduct, miserable parking lots and homeless encampments, warehouses and ugly utility buildings, gloomy streets nobody feels good to walk on.
open that up, clean up the sight lines, get some sun light on that blight and badda bing, you have restaurants, retail stores, new condos which would sell even in this bad economy.
