pay via bill pay everything except credit card on the 1st, pay credit card after everything else has left account.

I always have some stragglers -- like my cable bill takes two weeks to leave my account sometimes -- so I wait until everything is gone and pay the credit card.
then I transfer all but $25 of what's left to savings.
