I've used this base recipe with beef, chicken and turkey. You can change up the type of breadcrumbs, you can add other seasonings, you can use BBQ sauce instead of ketchup.
I chop all the mushrooms up instead of putting a few whole ones inside. I use a mix of mushrooms, too.
