I would untag myself and set tags not to approve automatically temporarily. I would also not donate.

someone here once (I don't recall who) sent multiple emails about donating to something and then followed up with private emails: I notice you haven't donated yet. what's the hold up? I'm waiting on you to finalize the group donation effort.
ask the group once. remind the group once. then shut up. don't presume I care to give to your pet cause.
