In fact, one of the reasons that interview in particular is great is because the actresses (especially Viola) take TS to task for the notion that a black woman being recognized for playing a maid in 2011 is in any way bad. He clearly is concerned with how black people are portrayed in Hollywood, and how Red Tails for example had so much trouble getting funding and distribution. Viola thinks that being so concerned with what the establishment of your ethnic community thinks of your choices in role is severely limiting to "artists."
