My nephew plays guitar, piano and sings and has heard a ton of great music. My sister and bil are really into music and have been great influences.
He enjoys all kinds of rock music but he *loves* Deadmau5. *shrug*
For a lot of kids it might be a lack of exposure to different music and so they go with what's popular or what their friends listen to.
I think in the case of my nephew it's a bit more. He loves playing music and he says he's very interested in how Deadmau5 makes his songs.
Not my thing but I understand why kids/people like it. Looks like he puts on a fun live show and that's probably where Deadmau5 is best.
