why, yes, I am a sucker for tv music competitions (and adam levine, but, er, nevermind). I recognized the last performer from when she competed on "rockstar: inxs" in 2005.

she was terrific and remarkably soulful for someone so young then; and her version of "man who sold the world," in particular, stuck with me. I've googled her a few times over the years, to see what she's been up to.

her baba o'riley and heart-shaped box were also memorable to me, among others. (www.youtube.com)
