Yet it's probably the best use for him now given the rest of the lineup couldn't take advantage of his skillset.

if he's hitting like Ichiro of old; if Ackley or Figgins ? are on base, far more productive overall than giving him no chances to get runs in; and if they're not...hey, he's just another leadoff situation.
