This proposal is garbage and everyone knows it won't be acted upon.
It would actually make corporate taxes *more* opaque and confusing. "Minimum tax on foreign income" is code for more Subpart F craziness and every single time they mess with that it has a ton of unintended consequences.
They would also disallow interest deductions, which is ridiculous. You would have new "loopholes" were interest is disguised as all sorts of things to get a deduction.
This is a step in the wrong direction.
