Boyd surprised The Carpetbagger by knowing the quote but the latter gentleman didn't miss a beat. When Body tried to put him on the defensive with the all taking/no giving discussion and only earned the reply, "Amen to that!", he was temporarily silenced. That may be the first time in the history of the show that Boyd couldn't think of a snappy reply. The exit line of "Saul Bellow" simply reinforced who won the battle.
