Clearly Ben has resources off the island as well. If it's so vitally important to get the Oceanic 6 back to the island, and quickly, I find it hard to believe he'd waste time trying to reason with and convince them to go. He'd just dart em drug em and drop them back on the island from a helicopter if that's what it takes.
