The only way this matters imo is if the #2 Wild Card gets in at 82 wins.... (unlikely to happen)

if the AL Central winner gets in at 82...are they weak, damn right; are they playoff deserving, damn right.
That's not a symptom of the 2nd wild-card as much as it's a reality of the AL East and West being strong and the central being parity-filled.
