I have a somewhat related renter question.

As ST (I think) knows, I own my place and have a roommate (who's a friend) that rents out my second bedroom. Last November, he started dating a new girl. She has her own place that she pays rent on, but her roommate are rude and inconsiderate and they don't like going over there and she doesn't like living with them.
You see where this is going: she's been living here full-time for the past two months. She hasn't 'moved in' as in moved all her stuff here (there would be no space for it) but this is where she sleeps every night, where she showers every morning, where you comes home to after work and eats dinner and watches tv and does laundry.
I'm pretty laid back about it. She's considerate and unobtrusive, so I don't really see a problem. The roommate has made some references to if it's a problem and I really couldn't say it is. But a friend or two thought it was very uncool.
What does ST think?

Thanks folks. Was curious if I was missing something based on how some friends reacted.

your friend is far too polite to be a renter. you should suggest to him that he buy his own place, so as not to be tainted by association. -- nm

if utilities have increased, ask that they pay for that. also, ask casually if she's moving from that place when the lease is up

don't make it an issue if it isn't. it's nice that he asked. the one question i have is, do you pay for electricity or water? -- nm

If you are OK with it personally, then there's not really a problem. -- nm
