We're going to see a third place team make the playoffs. Is that what we want?

The AL East is getting crushed in this. The Yanks, Sox and Rays are going to be have to kill themselves to beat the others to avoid that stupid coin flip game while teams in weak divisions will be able to set themselves up for the playoffs and coast to the finish.
