here is some more news.

the game will feature master chief (a spartan 3 model).

the multiplayer will feature spartan 4 models (i.e., not the chief).

multiplayer maps will not be lifted from the campaign, and instead are being built seperately to make them more balanced.

includes a video of some game footage, with the developers praising their own work (kotaku.com)
