i scan a system, if they start swarming it, i run out of the system, then jump back in (never leaving that screen really, just go past the boundry =saftefy, enter back in by pressing A) and try to get to one of the "items" they reapers will sometimes reset to their origin points during this, then hightail it out of there.
rinse, repeat as needed.
100% cleared in all clearable locations right now.
