On the left of your Home page you should have an "Apps and Games" category under "Apps"

Select that. At the top of that page should be a list of all the notifications you've received. If you hover over any of them with your mouse you will see an X in the upper right corner. Click on that. Then select to block the app.

All of that is about 4 steps longer than it used to be.
