oh, employers can have access to your medical information. you have to sign away your rights to it, but they can get it.

and you go right along with it, despite hesitation.
example: in order to get some benefits after my accident, I had to sign away privacy rights.
a lot of people also do that, at least in part, when they sign-up for various health promotions, too.
some offer some anonymity, some do not. (after what I went through post-accident, I won't sign away crap for relative peanuts; but I probably would again for, say, supplemental disability.)
