In response to "ty, I've heard more reaction to Los Chidos in the vein of "I'm not completely sure WTF that was, but it was awesome." -- nm" by Dano

I've heard more negative than positive, but there's definitely a receptive audience out there for it.

I keep wanting to say that I need to watch it again now that I have an understanding of the director's vision to try and re-assess if he was successful but
A) He didn't exactly earn my respect during the Q&A (called audience members wrong about their interpretation of the film. Suggested that folks who didn't like the film were abusers of females. Real charmer)
B) I don't want to subject myself (again) to what I'm pretty certain is unnecessary over the top sensationalist scenes that don't serve the plot the way he thinks they do.

I do think that those who didn't like it basically aren't talking about it while those who liked it are campaigning for it, so makes sense that you'd hear a lot of that. Will be interested in what you think of it when you see it.
