Bush one had the reason to go. We had the coalition, they attacked a neighbor, a few others.
Bush 2 went in with weapons of mass destruction as his main reason and whiffed. That's what sunk him. Had he had a different reason, or they actually had them it wouldn't have gone that way.
Afghanistan is a whole different mess. Right reason, but bad tactical deployment. Obama may have made it worse by going in with massive troops. Special Forces only might have been the way to stay the course there.
it's just a mess now.
