The Jets fell apart and the team lost confidence in Sanchez as a QB after they drafted his "best friend". This is uncannily similar to a storyline from ESPN's Playmakers. That was a show that the NFL asked ESPN to cancel in exchange for them getting rights to broadcast NFL games. The storylines were too controversial for the league.
