I don't think it's been mentioned much in these discussions, but the rumor is that Dan Schneider (he was Dennis(?) on Head of the Class, now producer for Disney/Nick shows) knocked up Bynes near the end of The Amanda Show (possibly by force/coercion) and then made/convinced her to get an abortion. And it (well, usually minus the pregnancy I think) seems to be a pattern of his.
