). I agree with you that the very conservative will vote Republican regardless, though I think they may not get out the number of votes that they would have (which is huge). I think it makes it tougher for him to attract independents when he is having this much trouble dealing with the extreme wing of his party. I completely agree that this is by no means a slam dunk for Obama regardless. But Romney will have work to do to try to make himself look formidable. I think that there are plenty of things that could happen that could change the dynamics of the race either way. I think it's really impossible to know one way or the other at this point, but I do think there is a storyline emerging that Romney is going to have to deal with and it's not going to go away quickly.
