Is this the 'who's Carl pointing the gun at?'

I think it's practically an established trope where one character seemingly points a gun at another, then after the second character's reaction, you see something *behind* the second character that the gun is *really* being pointed at. I saw no evidence that Carl was really considering shooting his dad.
This was the minority opinion, however, IIRC.
