aww, well my suggestion is to only upgrade a few guns, and buy the attachments

i didnt upgrade every gun. since i basically used the same group of guys for every mission, i only upgraded what they used.
so at the end of my first playthrough, everyone had a level 5 gun, with 2 level 5 attachments.
also dont buy all the attachment upgrades, focus on what you want at a basic level to have.
