I'm as surprised as anyone. This has been cooking since the election, but I didn't get the final offer 'til two weeks ago. Started just over a week ago.

And I'm working for Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon as the "Senior Constituent Services Representative." Mainly I help Oregon residents work through whatever Byzantine problems they're having with the federal government, but I'm also doing some policy work, too.

So far, it seems pretty cool, and one of the best part is that one of my subject areas is military and veterans affairs.
