I read this yesterday. They're not banning them. They sent a letter to the people that make up

the tests asking/advising them to not use those words on the tests. The city doesn't make the tests so they don't have all that much say in whether or not they do actually get banned.

Having said all that, I find it reprehensible that a modern society and one as liberal as NY tends to be can find banning words to be acceptable.
The NYC DOE does ban words but I'm not sure how effective they are in enforcing the ban.

Having read that article yesterday and others after it I couldn't help but feel like I'm in a different time and different place. Banning words? What the hell is going on? This makes me sick.

Salvery!?!?!? Are you fucking kidding me? They can't talk about slavery?!? Reprehensible pieces of shit in the NYC DOE.
