It's like when a quarterback is about to break a record and says that it should be about the whole team

Yet teh commentators keep talking about him breaking the record...it's to be expected. To expect people to ignore the historic significance of the first non-white president would be silly. His race was no reason to vote for him, but you can't deny it was a milestone.
