in case anyone else ever has issues connecting to their home wireless with an i-product, I feel compelled to share this..

it took way too much time (and, gasp, failed googling - due to non-intuitive search terms and people having similar but different issues) over a few days to figure this out; but, at freaking last, I discovered yesterday that when mr. iPad was asking for the wireless network's password, he really wanted its encryption key. no ip address, no DNS whatchamadoey, no changing the blahblah or the blahbluh, etc.; just the encryption key.

yay.

I felt so victorious over technology that I almost tried to install my new gonna-rock-you-roku; but reason prevailed, and I put that off for another day. maybe friday.
