Wait, they are saying BMI might understate obesity? I think BMI overstates it in a lot of cases.

Anyone with muscles risks going into the overweight and potentially the obese category because BMI doesn't consider anything about that.

my issue with BMI is that women and men are based equally. there should be adjusted scale based on the muscle mass difference between men and women. -- nm - Andie Apr 3, 06:56 3
