my issue with BMI is that women and men are based equally. there should be adjusted scale based on the muscle mass difference between men and women. -- nm

(however, i think if BMI says you are 'obese' and you aren't muscle bound, making excuses for it is exactly that - an excuse.)

obese (30+) yeah. Overweight (25+) is an issue area though -- nm

oh there are issues. but i think a lot of out of shape people with higher BMIs use the questions to justify their weight when they shouldn't.
