lish (Canada) causes lots of problems with the ctrl (and on occasion shift) keys becoming "sticky"
finally found out that holding down both ctrl keys for 5 seconds (or both shift keys) will clear the situation.
When that happens I check and the keyboard has always somehow been changed to Canada again.
