about 15 minutes. the delay was, that team is already superstacked at pitching.

the trade came out of discussions where I was trying to trade a SP for David Ortiz with one manager, and then trying to flip Butler for someone like Max Scherzer to this other guy. The Butler side was done, but the Ortiz owner was demanding David Pricehaqhahahahahahaahahahahah ok I'm better now. So last night the guy who wanted Butler decided to sweeten the deal by including Felix and asking for Morrow in return. It was a perfect deal for me because I think Butler and Morrow have most of their potential improvement priced into their perceived preseason value at this point, and I'm all set without either of them.

The problem is I need a bat. The good thing is, acquiring Felix really opens up my options to deal a pitcher away for a bat, and I don't need to deal with the guy who is ludicrously overvaluing Papi. As a stopgap, I added Cody Ross from waivers, because a) he's been raking this spring, b) Crawford is down until god knows when which means Ross will play full time, and c) in leagues around here, guys like that have somewhat inflated trade value to certain managers. oh and d) it was either him or Ryan Fucking Raburn.
