In response to "Is, like, half the team free agents at the end of the season? (nm)" by Tim

We have options on Hudson and McCann that would comprise another $21 Million ($9M for Huddy, $12M for McCann).

If you look at the composition of the Braves right now, they have a second year player at 1B, a rookie at SS, Chipper at 3B (currently replaced by a rookie), a third year player in RF, a 2012 free agent in CF, a second year arb player in LF (Prado) and our one current large contract, Uggla, at 2B. Our three dynamic relievers are all second/third year players. Our rotation is comprised of Jair Jurrjens, a second year arb player, Hudson, Hanson (not eligible for arb yet) and several people with less than one year of service time.

This is one of the youngest teams I have ever seen that is considered a playoff contender. If you take Uggla, Hudson and Chipper out, I think everybody the team is counting on is under 30. Bourn is 29.
