In this case, it's an unfinished basement with plenty of space and all the necessary plumbing accessible.

are the sewer pipes higher than the basement level (I don't think that kibboshes the idea but a complication) bathfitters charged $5,000 to convert

if you start talking about drilling in the cement floors, that's about $5k, upflush sewage pumps under 1k, shower/bath preforms 800-1200, sinks/cabine -- nm
