STIS&Swankier Poll: What hotel chain do you consider to be "upscale" but not overpriced? Doing an overnight in a few weeks and looking for a place

that's classier than the average hotel (we usually stay at Country Inn and Suites with the kids) that has a nice romantic feel and the rooms have an air of luxury about them without being overpriced
Responses:
It always depends on the age of the particular property, but Omnis and Hyatts are nice. There are even some Ritz Carltons that aren't too expensive

I just got a deal on the Hyatt Regency for 142 a night. If you can get the Omni All-Suites on the Miracle Mile you may not have to pay too much.

I like Staybridge - and Hamptons have the best beds. I stayed at a Le Meridian - not impressed for the price -- nm
